Quiet Wolf

Privacy Policy

Last updated · 26 September 2026

This policy explains what we collect when you join The Wolf's Field Guide newsletter, why we collect it, and the control you keep over it. Plain language, no tricks — fitting, given what we write about.

Who we are

This newsletter is run under the name Quiet Wolf. For any question about your data, write to us at [email protected]. We are the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect

Only your email address — and, if you choose to give it, your first name. We also record the date and technical proof of your consent (the moment you tick the box and confirm your email), because the law asks us to keep it.

Why we collect it

To send you the free guide you asked for, and the occasional Quiet Wolf letter — new lessons, new work, the odd note from the wolf. Nothing else.

Legal basis

Your consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR), given when you tick the box and confirm your email through the link we send you (double opt-in). No box ticked, no confirmation, no emails.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or after three years without any interaction — whichever comes first. After that, your email is deleted.

Who has access

Your email is stored and sent through our email provider, Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, a French company, with servers in the European Union), acting on our behalf and under contract. Your guide file is hosted on Cloudflare. We never sell, rent or share your data with anyone else.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

Just click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email, or write to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
